又见满天星。。。 starry starry night...

Starry starry night part 2: Rolex Replica

I love watches decorated with diamonds and jewels. Is flamboyant and in a sense is dangerous to wear, unless you are Al-Capone. I have to admit... I can never afford the real McCoy. What you are seeing here is Rolex Replicas specially made for me by a watchmaker friend. Even the display box in this photo is fake. I am not promoting fake or replica but just share with you my custom watches. All these three watches using the ETA 2834-2 25 jewels automatic movements. Some parts like the crown are real Rolex spare parts.

Rolex President with full diamond dial and diamond bezel but with jubilee bracelet???

Half gold Rolex Day-Date

This is not even in real Rolex catalogue.... this model never exist. Two tones rolex day-date existed in the form of white gold or platinum with yellow gold.... the crown (from the model 18238) and the bezel are original rolex 18K gold.

Seiko Skyliner 6102-8000

Another Vintage Seiko ~ Skyliner

Bought this from a friend in Hong Kong for the sum of USD 85.50. Nothing special about this watch apart from the fact that it was produced in 1961... after so many years, the condition is still in tip-top... the dial and hands is 100% intact, the glass has been replaced......This is a 21 jewels manual winding movement... the design is clean and simple... It is rightful to call this a museum grade vintage seiko.

Rado President

Rado President Automatic

This is a classic vintage watch from 1970's era. I acquired this one from a friend shop. Bought the watch because of the word "President". Hahaaaaahaaaaaaa for a layman, the President should be the flagship of rado... however this watch is basically identical to Rado's other series during the time including the green, purple, and gold horses. They all used the same 25 jewels automatic movement from ETA.

Given the age of this watch, it is still in prime condition. The dial, glass, crown and also the bracelet are still original. This watch is full stainless steel. The case back is embossed with Rado, its logo and also Rado tri-seahorses symbol. This watch is water-sealed too.

Watches like this are cheap to collect and usually they are quite durable. Also they are cheap and easy to maintain with plenty of spare parts. Having one of this on your wrist can really distinct you from the rest.......

Seiko Prospex Flightmaster

Seiko Flighmaster ~ One of the three Masters

Seiko has three Masters in its pool of watches namely Landmaster, Marinemaster, and Flightmaster. Like usual Seiko powered all these series using different type of movements Some with Quartz movement, some with Kinetics and I think the premier one with Automatic movements. Ok, someone will probably ask what about Fieldmaster? Fieldmaster is a good watch but it is still not in this league.

Seiko Landmaster

Seiko Marinemaster

Seiko Flightmaster

I will not go into details on flightmaster. Steve G has written an extensive article ( on this watch. In fact, it is due to his article that prompt me to buy this used flightmaster. This watch is not cheap by any standard and with that sum you probably can source for better known watches.

My Seiko Flightmaster SBDS001

Was initially thinking of ordering a brand new one from Higuchi-Inc or SeiyaJapan, before my Japanese friend Taka told me his friend has one for sell. This watch is in mint condition with original box, waranty paper and instruction manual. This watch is made in 2006 in Japan.

The Flightmaster case and band are all made of Titanium. It has a sapphire glass and a see through screw in case back. The fun part is you can appreciate the beauty of its movement. The 6S37A is a forty jewels hi-beats (Amp: 28,800 beats per hours) chronograph movement with date. It has a power reserve of 48 hours.
