I bought this fully aware of what it is..... It is always labelled as a new old stock! Mostly listed in eBay by China or Hong Kong watch sellers. Some said is fake; some quoted Eternamatic saying is a model from the 1970's mainly for far East or China market......
The way I see it, is.... if it is cheap and affordable, the movement itself should worth the ticket.
The watch has a somewhat oyster-like stainless steel casing. The watch is approximately 36mm without crown. The dial is a plain black grey with silver matchstick hour-markers. I also love the second hand in red colour.
The dial is protected by acrylic crystal that has a cyclops lens to enhance the date reading at 3 o'clock position. The crown has the Eternamatic's 5 ball bearings logo.
The fold over clasp is also signed with both Eterna wording and its logo.
The inner part of the back case is engraved with "Eterna Watch Swiss".
This watch comes with ETA 2836, 25 jewels automatic movement with 28,800 bph. The rotor has been changed to a gold rotor with Eterna markings. It is written at the rotor, "Adjusted to six positions and temperatures".
As a whole, this watch does not reflect the quality of a Swiss Made. No doubt, this is either meant for the 1970's China market or it is produced by a small Chinese factory.
